Are you looking for promotional help?
Small business promotion service
Graphic design and copywriting

What's the point of spending money on your ads and promotional materials if they don't get people's attention?

If you want to improve the impact of your advertising and promotion, here are some tips:

  • Don't cram a bunch of copy into a small space. C'mon... do YOU read ads with type so small even an ant couldn't read it?
  • Your goal is to get someone's attention! Give them enough information to be interested in contacting you for more info. That could be via your web site (where you can put tons of info!) by a phone call or by e-mail. Then put your contact info, especially your site address, on the promo piece.
  • Include an image that really communicates the concept of your message. For example, if you're advertising for a coffee house, an image of a nice, steaming cup of coffee, or people relaxing and enjoying some coffee together is a lot more interesting that a picture of your store front...

Or if you want to get the idea of a certain emotion across, find an image of someone with that expression!

A great place for images is istockphoto - images are very inexpensive and you have the right to use them on promotional items, as long as you're not re-selling them. Don't bother looking for "free" unless you like cheesy stuff!

Check out this example of a good ad layout.

Good quality design is a vital factor in any promotional piece. It either enhances credibility or detracts from it. It is a visual representation of your message.

Whether you know exactly what you want or need assistance developing something, I can help you. I have training and experience in art, marketing and promotion - and have been doing this since the 1980's.

Professional design often "looks simple" but a professional knows exactly how to create a "simple" design and why something works or doesn't work to get attention.

Great customer service and communication are the keystones of my business philosophy, so feel free to contact me at the phone number or e-maill address below for a no-charge consultation.

Thank you,
